Sim Bay Planner helps golfers answer the most important question about a home golf simulator: will it actually fit in my room? Then it helps with the next one: what should I buy for that space and budget?
Why this site exists
Most simulator planning advice comes from stores that sell their own enclosures and packages. That advice is often good, but it usually ends with a pitch for one brand. We wanted brand-neutral answers to the questions every buyer has: how much ceiling height a driver swing needs, how deep a room has to be for a given launch monitor, what size screen fits, and which projector throw ratio to shop for.
How we research
The room planner uses common planning rules of thumb for swing height, side clearance and ball-to-screen distance. Product information comes from manufacturer specifications, retailer listings and feedback from simulator owners. We don’t claim to have tested equipment we have not used. When something is based on specs or research rather than hands-on use, we say so.
How this site makes money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide which products fit your room. The planner recommends by space and budget first. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
Who we are
Sim Bay Planner is an independent site, not owned by any simulator brand or retailer. Questions or corrections are always welcome on the contact page.
